Next Best Bird Watching Course
Be a Better Birder 1: Size & Shape
The Invitation is Still On for Anyone Who Wishes to Take the Online Course With Us!
from Cornell Lab of Ornithology
Here are the details –
Do you sometimes look out your window, or when you are walking, see a bird you don’t know the name of?
Of course you have! We all have experienced this.
So I have decided to do something about not being able to identify a bird that I see.
I have enrolled in an online course offered by Cornell Lab Of Ornithology.
The course is called Be a Better Birder 1: Size and Shape.
I am inviting You to join us!
My goal is to be able to identify the birds I see, not
to become a scholar. So don’t worry if you think this will be too
academic. From what I know of Cornell, yes, there are many academic
scholars involved there. But one of their goals, is the same as one of
mine, to help everyone be aware of the wonder of wild birds and therefore want to take care of our earth for the sake of the birds and ours.
Besides that, we will take this friendly learning experience together, for fun!
Here are some details:
Be a Better Birder 1: Size and Shape.
There are 5 lessons, which we will do one per week for five weeks.
Starting the week of: January 7, 2018
End the week of: February 9, 2018 (5 lessons: 1 per week).
We will learn by doing fun activities like videos and quizzes.
No pressure, no reporting of scores, work at your leisure, on your own, at home.
I will set up a private Facebook group,
where everyone who signs up to take the course, at the same time, can
share, ask questions of one another, and encourage each other.
I will email the details of the Facebook group to each person who signs up for the course and contacts me to say that they have signed up.
You will need to sign up for the course directly with Cornell Lab of Ornithology.
I will not receive any remuneration of any kind for promoting this course.
I just thought it would be fun to take the course at the same time as others.
Here are the steps You need to take:
1. Read about the details of the course & sign up here:
